Kindness Rocks 831 is a non-profit organization and was established in 2020 during the Covid pandemic. With almost everyone being confined to their homes and only allowed outdoor activity we thought it would be a great time to uplift our community by painting words of hope and joy on rocks and hiding them for others to find.

Samantha Chioino, founder of Kindness Rocks, is a lifelong resident of the Monterey Peninsula. Sam is a mother of four, business owner and sole operator of Kindness Rocks 831.

Our mission is simple: One message at just the right moment can change someone’s entire day, outlook, life.
